Dear Prayer Partners:

Let me share with you som of God's answers, and assure
you of gratitude for your co“operation in this grea + task,
1, SOULS SAVED. Praise God for the eight in one of the outstations
recently buried with Christ in baptism by Mr. “lex Herrinz. One of
these was a Mohammedan, the head of the Sugar Factory. Mohammedans
believe that Jesus is only a prophet, but praise to God His Holy
Spirit revealed Jesus the Son of God,
2. LAND PURCHASED. In my January letter prayer quested for

land for church buildings at two outstations. The Lord has heard
and enabled us to buy a suitable place in the corner of a banana

field near the high scheol and hospital. Investigation is still go~
ing on for a place in the other outstation.
3- LABORERS. You will rejoice with us that the Lord of the Harves
has sent during 1958 six new missionaries to Taiwan, Miss Jennie

Alderman has been reappointed and is expected to arrive goon. Mr.

Richard Morris are all now studyi in the Language School in Taipei.

We are grateful that the Morrises are beginning the study of
Taiwanese that they may be able to minister among the six millinn
who speak this language, Lest you think we are really increasing our
missionaries in Taiwan, let me remind you +} dj

4. TODAY'S DISAPPOINTMENT. Yes, we have disappointments, too. My
heart was grieved this morning when I hea rd that one of our fine
young boys of about 18 years is a menber of a fang of 17 boys i
whose names have been turned in to the police. The gangster spirit
is growing here. he Christian man reporting this to me said, "This
is what they get fom American movies." Pray that this young man
break with bad company and come back to his first love for god.
