Navy Commander, Fleet Logistic Air Wing, Atlantic U. Se Naval Air Station Patuxent, Maryland Dear Ashford: When I was at Moffett Field last week meeting with SecNav, I had occasion to talk to Captain Colestock, who is now under orders to the Pacific, I understend. Colestock made some mention of @ possible schedule of the Constitution plane to make one weekly round trip between Washington and Moffett Field. If you have a ten= tative schedule of such flights, I would appreciate you forwarding one to mee My personal interest in the matter is in comection with a . possible plane ride for my Midshipman son, James R. Rodgers, Third Class, who will be looking for a ride to California over the Christmas Holidays. Is there a possibility that some space might be made available to midshipmen in case the Fleet Logistic Air Wing intends to schedule a big plane about thet time? I realize that the plane schedules must remain quite fluid, but I would appreciate a note from you as to the likelihood of transportation via Fleet Logistic Air Wing between Washington and Moffett Field between mid-December and mid-January. With kindest regards, I am iral, Ue. Se Navy Commendent Twelfth Naval District
