1. In accordance with reference (a) I have to report, having been
relieved of command of the Office of Naval Research by

Captain Arthur L, Pleasants, Jr., USN in compliance with refer=
ences (b) and (c), a thorough inspection of the records and files
of the Office of Naval Research has been made by me in company
with my relief.

26 All administrative and capital property has been properly ace
counted for.

$e There are no registered secret or confidential publications on
board,

4. The combinations to all safes and keys to the office have been
accounted fore

5- The following have been turned over to my relief:
(a) All unexecuted orders and correspondence.

(b>) Corrected copies of all general orders and memoranda
including letters of instructions.

6- The personnel conditions are satisfactory.
