Dear Commanders

Gerin and I made it over the snow bound mountains
just in time to see the "Turkey" carved Thanksgiving Day,
and for the first time felt that we had earned it and knew
the true meaning of Day.

Since my return, have been very busy, but did
not forget the Aldridge matter. Am taking the liberty of
sending you a copy of my letter to him. Any suggestions
you may have to offer in getting this - "If I had some
ham I'd have some ham and eggs, if I had some eggs",
situation going will be welcome, as I hope we can get

together.

Sent the letter of formal application to the
Bureau marked for your attention last Friday. Trust it
was satisfactory. The Purifier is about ready for test-
ing here and will be shipped sometime next week, unless
I hear from you to the contrary.

Dear Mr. Murphy:

This will - acknowledge receipt of your ietter
of November 30 enclosing a copy of your letter to
Aldridge discussing in general. the situation with
respect to a Washington representative for your
company. ZI am somewhat disappointed to see that
the agreement has reduced itself to a pure sales
proposition, but nevertheless appreciate most sin-
cerely the effort to which you have gone in pre-
senting the whole situation to Aldridge. Trust that
he will contact your’ Wilmington representative and
that the contact will be mutually beneficial.

In the meantime; 1 am awaiting with interest the
test of your equipment at Annapolis. You may rest
assured that if it gives reasonable promise of accom-
plishing the claims that you make for it we will give
it a further test on some of the engines whose present
behavior is not up to. standard.
