Wednesday, August 2,1995 Thanks, Max! Kenneth C. Mlekush, Executive Vice-President, congratulates Max R. Joyner on his retirement -Photo by Tom Hanifer It Could Not Have Been Done Better! Max Joyner retires July 31st following 40 years of service in Greenville with Jefferson-Pilot Life Insurance Company. Twenty-four of those years were spent as agency manager of the company’s Greenville Agency. Loyalty, integrity, wisdom and leadership by example characterize Max’s service with Jefferson-Pilot. To list the honors and awards Max has earned at the company, industry and community levels would be impossible here. Suffice it to say, virtually he has won them all and many times over! In the community, he has been involved in a host of activities ranging from helping to found the Eastern North Carolina Chapter of CLU’s to serving youth organizations, the Chamber of Commerce, the Kiwanis Club, the First Presbyterian Church, Pitt Community College, and many areas at ECU, including being chairman of the ECU Board of Trustees. He has also established a University Scholars Award Scholarship at ECU. What do you say when you're losing the manager of an agency that has produced more business for the company over the years than any other manager? A simple congratulations does not seem sufficient. Max has earned his retirement. What he has done for Jefferson-Pilot in Greenville and Eastern North Carolina could not have been done better! We extend a sincere thank you to Max for a job well done, and to his wife, Kitty, for her support. Jefferson-Pilot Life Insurance Company é ito i Ch 1 P.O.
