Thank you for your letter of April 19, 1970, concerning a highway
marker for East Carolina University.

You will be interested to know that a proposed marker inscription
for East Carolina has already been written and will be submitted to the
Historical Highway Marker Committee at its next meeting. Approval of
the inscription by the Committee should be routine. Hopefully, the

marker will be in place by the fall of this year.
