Description
we have been asked by Marlena at Laupus to digitize The Newsom Jones Pittman Papers, 1772-1861 Manuscript Collection #500 to complement another set of papers from the same person that they have in their collection. Message below Hi Dale, We have a collection we house at Laupus for The Country Doctor Museum—Newsom Jones Pittman Papers, 1848-1853, 1969, 1989-1993 (CD 01.53) that our museum docent, Jacob Parks, has been researching for future exhibits. We are interested in the potential of either requesting some of the Joyner Library’s Manuscript Collection of Newsom Jones Pittman Papers, 1772-1861 (Manuscript Collection #500) to be digitized to aid in his research or the potential of the collection being transferred to us to be incorporated in CD 01.53. Laupus has had some archival collections recently transferred to us from Joyner (including a University Archives collection related to a member of the Brody School of Medicine faculty), so I thought to ask if this might be a possibility, too. Thanks for considering!
