Please de-frame the item and return the frame to my office. I don't believe the donor wants the frame, but I will ask first. Perform any light work on the item you feel needs to be done. It is not an item of extraordinarily high value. I am happy to consult with you when it is freed if you like :)
The family is busy settling the estate through May. If I hear from them sooner about the scan, I will let you know. Please contact me directly when the item is ready to be returned to Special Collections. The item will need to be stored in the oversize files in the basement and I will need to add it to the finding aid.
