This reel has Sticky Tape Syndrome. It is a back coated tape, and the layers of the tape are very compact and extremely stuck to each other. The tape will not unroll without pulling off oxide from the adjacent layer of tape, causing major erosion of the tape, peeling the tape apart and causing complete drop outs and dead spots, rendering any digitization effort useless. This reel would need a baking treatment before any reattempt to digitize it or play it again.
