Below is exactly how the patron expressed his request. I thought I’d include it in case you had any questions for him. I’d be glad to contact him again to clarify if needed.
“I want to get the 8x10 print scanned at 600dpi if it wasn’t previously scanned at that dpi. All “enlarging” an image scanned at say 300dpi, would be to reduce the dpi proportional to the enlargement. Scanning the back isn’t necessary, because I can download those images online. Res for writing isn’t a critical issue.”
