I have a DVD-R containing 4 jpgs and 4 TIFs of 4 map scans that trace the land encompassed by Cherry Point Marine Corps Air Station at Havelock, N.C. The maps from the 1940s and 1950s were created for the North Carolina State Highway and Public Works Commission and the images were produced for our collection donor Edward Ellis by the State Archives of North Carolina in 2016. Prints of the maps, also produced by the State Archives, are being added to the Edward B. Ellis, Jr., Papers #753 because so much of his collection has to do with the acquisition of the land for the Cherry Point Air Station. These maps show who owned the land at the time of acquisition by Cherry Point. Mr. Ellis sent me a copy of the State Archives copy invoice and it just says to use the credit line "Courtesy of The State Archives of North Carolina." I will be putting the map prints in his collection and would like to link the digital images to them.
