Perhaps some kind of enclosure for the volume could be made? [Note from conservation: Box was created. The note on the box to not reshelve the item is intended for patrons in case the item sees more handling. Item can be returned to special collections and be reshelved after scanning and metadata entry.]
I do want these pages linked to the finding aid, but I am not asking to have the entire volume digitized because the information in the volume does not include identifying details that most researchers would need. In other words, a sampling of pages should be enough for most researchers. I am fine with digitizing the whole volume if you really want to.

Toll Bridge Records | 1870, undated | A sampling (Sept. 11-18, 1870, undated) of records (1870-1871, undated) of tolls charged at General Bryan Grimes's Washington, North Carolina, toll bridge. The volume (1870-1871) lists type of conveyance (man with cart, footman, etc.), the tolls charged per day with a weekly summary, and the apparent deduction from the total for the person taking tolls, but not the names of the people crossing. Two loose pages of toll collections which don't have a year listed do list the names of the people crossing (if known).
I have placed a marker for where the sampling should begin. It should cover Sept. 11-18, 1870, in the volume. Also please do the 2 loose pages of toll collections that doesn't list a year and is found at the back of the folder.
