Letter from Katie Murray to Ruth Murray
19951023
An airmail letter from Katie Murray in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, to Ruth Murray in Rose Hill, North Carolina. Murray writes of visiting with friends from the United Sates, fluoridated water being brought to Kaohsiung, and the city's designated housecleaning days. Murray's signature has been cut out from the end of the letter. A native of North Carolina, Murray served as a Baptist missionary in China between 1927 and 1950, occasionally fleeing during times of war. She served her last years of missionary service in Taiwan between 1954 and 1959.
