Avera's matriculation cards from the University of Pennsylvania medical department. Matriculation cards showed a student had paid a matriculation fee to the school. The student would then, theoretically, take the matriculation card with them to purchase lecture tickets for each course directly from the professors.

2 39764 CD 01.03.00.01 Receipt Book 1879 Handwritten book with recipes for preparing drugs by Willie Jordan Batts. Batts practiced botanic medicine for around 48 years in Wilson, North Carolina.
3 39765 CD 01.07.00.01 Handwritten Letters Concerning a Duel 27 July 1858 - 10 August 1858 Ten handwritten letters between William J. Blow and William T. Marsh. This exchange of letters was about W. T. Marsh "demanding satisfaction for offensive language used by Dr. Blow” towards him. This exchange included letters between Marsh’s second, General Walter S. Hanrahan, and Blow’s second, General George B. Singeltary.

The second photograph is of Dr. Perry and nurse in examination room; there is a examination table and glass cabinet with various instruments and glass bottles.
