East Carolina produced its first yearbook in 1926. From 1926 through 1952 the publication was known as the "Tecoan" and from 1953 through 1976, 1979 through 1990, and 2006 through 2015 as "The Buccaneer." Volumes were not published in 1977, 1978, and from 1991 through 2006.
