Dear Sister M. Thomasine:
We wish to quote part of a letter which we received from Mr. Ernest T.
Executive Director of the Texas Heart Association which, we believe,
s self-explanatory:
"Regrettably, it will not be possible for the Texas Heart Association to
provide any funds towards the travel expenses of Owen W, Wagenstein, M, D.,
for his trip to Amarillo in December. As you know, our budget is made up
one year in advance and funds were not budgeted for this program at Saint
Anthony's Hospital. I. might also say that I am not sure that the Budget
committee would approve of such an expenditure even in advance in view of
e fact that the program would net be one conducted by the Heart Associ-
ation, I am sorry that we cannot be of more help to you than this in this
particular matter."
Perhaps, if you will keep in mind when the budget is made up this next spring
things of similar nature; then, we made be able to put it in the budget and
hope for approval.
