<lb />St. Anthony's Hospital<lb /><lb />Conducted by Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word<lb />7<lb /><lb />Amarillo, Texas<lb />July 29, 1966<lb /><lb /><lb /><lb /><lb /><lb />Dear Doctor:<lb /><lb />I would like to share with you some information on changes in administration<lb />at St. Anthony's Hospital. The administrator of our hospital in San Antonio--<lb />the Santa Rosa Medical Center-- has been ill for the past year and I have been<lb />assigned to replace her. I regret the change at this time--however, I will<lb />continue to be on the Board of St. Anthony's, and in this capacity, residing<lb />in San Antonio close to our Mother House, I will be able to do more for the<lb />hospital than I could living right here in Amarillo.<lb /><lb />I assure you every effort will be made to keep St. Anthony's a first-rate<lb />progressive hospital, as well as pursuing the master plan and further devel-<lb />opment of the institution.<lb /><lb />Sister Thomasine will be replacing me as the Administrator of St. Anthony's<lb />on August 3. As you may know, Sister is an R. N. with a B. S. in Nursing<lb />from Incarnate Word College in San Antonio, a Master's degree from Catholic<lb />University, Washington, D. C., and her academic preparation in Hospital<lb />Administration from St. Louis University, Department of Hospital Administra-<lb />tion. Sister has been assigned to St. Anthony's for the past several years<lb />as nursing supervisor of the medical service and for the past two years has<lb />worked with me as administrative assistant, Pepeacene me in administration<lb />whenever I was out of town.<lb /><lb />We have carefully groomed Sister Thomasine for the position of Administrator<lb />and we selected her for St. Anthony's because she is familiar with the hos-<lb />pital and all of its operations. She knows the community and she knows our<lb />doctors, and appreciates them. I feel confident that Sister will receive the<lb />same excellent cooperation and support from the members of our Medical Staff<lb />as I have received during the past two years.<lb /><lb />I would like to say how much I have enjoyed working here and I do want to say<lb />"Thank you Doctor, for everything," and if you visit San Antonio at any time,<lb />please drop by to see the Santa Rosa Medical Center. You will be very wel-<lb />come, I assure you, and I will be delighted to see you.<lb /><lb />Praying that God may bless you, your family and your work, and assuring you<lb />of a daily remembrance in the prayers of all our Sisters, I am<lb /><lb />Very sincerely,<lb /><lb />Sister Angela Clare, C.C.V.I.<lb />Administrator<lb /><lb />St. Anthony's Hospital School of Nursing</p>
