Dear Dr. Absolon,
Under separate cover and by airmail I am sending you"Billroth
im Briefwechsel mit Brahms" , a book which you mentioned in
your letter of July 7 and for which you were looking. As you
will note on the first page, under "Vorweort", this book represents
an extract of Billroth's book, with the same title, edited by Otto
Gottlieb in 1935. Do you wish this latter, 500 page edifion as
well?
The book I am sending you is a rather recent issue and I wonder
whether we could contact the editor and ask him for some
assistance. It looks as if he had the complete set of all music
critics Billorth wrote in Zurich. However, before writing to
the Urban & Schwarzenberg Verlag in Munich, I wanted to ask
yow opinion,as I do not really know for what you need all this
information about Billroth and I might have to explain this to
them.
