Enclosed are some of my more recent. reprints and a summary of my
coronary surgery experience over here, which may be of interest
for your program. I have now one myocardial infarction excision,
one coronary endarterectomy with patch graft, three ventricular
aneurysm's without mortality. I would be glad to serve on one
of the committee's, but I don't think I am a member of the College
of Chest Physicians, I never got to it.
We are doing rather well over here but also got some interesting
academic offers. Also have now quite a unique collection of old
manuscripts, Sylvius, Vesalius, ete., everything that Billroth -
wrote including some of his handwritten manuscripts, etc. In my
"free" time I am preparing a biography of Billroth and looking for
a publisher.
Both Mary and I would love to get together with yous; it is logical
that it should be in San Franeiseo. With all your ills surely
in the past history now you may come wandering to Texas or to.
New Mexico, just a big Texas spit away from us!
