<p>January 2, 1967<lb /><lb /><lb /><lb />Dr. Angelo May<lb />450 Sutter Street<lb />San Francisco, California 94121<lb /><lb /><lb /><lb />Dear Angelo<lb /><lb />Enclosed are some of my more recent. reprints and a summary of my<lb />coronary surgery experience over here, which may be of interest<lb />for your program. I have now one myocardial infarction excision,<lb />one coronary endarterectomy with patch graft, three ventricular<lb />aneurysm's without mortality. I would be glad to serve on one<lb />of the committee's, but I don't think I am a member of the College<lb />of Chest Physicians, I never got to it.<lb /><lb />We are doing rather well over here but also got some interesting<lb />academic offers. Also have now quite a unique collection of old<lb />manuscripts, Sylvius, Vesalius, ete., everything that Billroth -<lb />wrote including some of his handwritten manuscripts, etc. In my<lb />"free" time I am preparing a biography of Billroth and looking for<lb />a publisher.<lb /><lb />Both Mary and I would love to get together with yous; it is logical<lb />that it should be in San Franeiseo. With all your ills surely<lb />in the past history now you may come wandering to Texas or to.<lb />New Mexico, just a big Texas spit away from us!<lb /><lb />Sincerely<lb /><lb />Karel B. Absolon, M.D.<lb /><lb />KBA:bc<lb /></p>
