<p>December 6, 1968<lb /><lb />David Schechter, MD.<lb />New York Medical College<lb />Department of Surgery<lb />5th Avenue at 106th Street<lb />New York, New York 10029<lb /><lb />Dear David:<lb /><lb />Enclosed is the letter to Dr. Stephenson at the A.C.S., who<lb />handles the membership etd. I hope it will do. Let me know if<lb />there should be anything more I should write.<lb /><lb />While at Yale University, you will certainly enjoy Bill<lb />Glenn, who is interested in medical history.<lb /><lb />Your last paper in Surgery was most readable. I would ap-<lb />preciate a reprint, when available- if possible, with a Schechterian<lb />decidation, so I can put it next to Pare, Vido, Halgaigne, Scarpa<lb />and BVillroth.<lb /><lb />I am clinically busy, do quite routine saphenous vein by-<lb />passes of the right coronary. Yesterday I had one with a ventri-<lb />cular septal defect, and as an encore, added an internal mammary<lb />implant on the left. I have three of these, doing well.<lb /><lb />The first volume of Billroth's biography is finished; I am<lb />reviewing it and looking for an editor. Do you know anyone?<lb /><lb />Best regard!<lb /><lb />Sincerely,<lb /><lb />KBA:elg Karel B. Absolon, MD.<lb /></p>
