In March of this year we informed you of the University of Michigan's
decision to establish the position of Vice Provost for Medical Affairs and
of the consequent interruption of our search for a Dean of the Medical
School. On behalf of the Deanship Committee, I am pleased to announce to

Dr. George D. Zuidema as Vice Provost for Medical Affairs and the
reactivation of our search committee.
