The only reason it has<lb />not been adopted is because our<lb />constitution provides that there<lb />must be a majority of the votes<lb />cast in favor of the amendment<lb />in order to amend the constitution.<lb /><lb />"In the last election there were<lb />1,460,826 votes cast. Of these,<lb />646,608 voted YES, and 443,005<lb />voted NO; as can be seen, 370,713<lb />of those voting, voted neither Yes<lb />nor No on the amendment. It<lb />would be a step in the right direc-<lb />tion to vote Yes on this amend-<lb />ment"<lb /><lb />Very truly yours,<lb />Nobel Shadduck.<lb /><lb /><lb /><lb />The Gilbert Otto family were<lb />entertained for dinner at the Al-<lb />bert Gutknecht home at Winthrop<lb />on Sunday.<lb /><lb />Mrs. Richard Erlandson of<lb />Mpls, Mrs. Anna Howard and the<lb />Russell Howard family were vis-<lb />itors at the Leonard Howard home<lb />Sunday evening.<lb /><lb />The Marah DesMarais family of<lb />Buffalo, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Ol-<lb />son and son, Walter, Mrs. Arlo<lb />Jordan and children, and the Leon-<lb />ard Rudolph family visited at the<lb />Marvia Rassett home, Sunday<lb />afternoon.
