<lb />2<lb /><lb />& Dr. Grossnickle asked that the Department reconsider a change that was made<lb />at the last meeting, iee., changing Psychology 205 to Psychology 305, It<lb />was felt that this was needed to give more flexibility in scheduling. A<lb />motion was made to this effect and after a lengthy discussion the motion was<lb />defeated.<lb /><lb />Dr, Martoccia moved that Psychology 206 be added to the prerequisites for<lb />Psychology 305. Motion unanimously passed.<lb /><lb />Dr. Martoccia made the following report for the Comprehensive Committee:<lb /><lb />A candidate for the Master's Degree in clinical psychology failed the<lb />comprehensive examination in 2 areas--research and theories and systems--~<lb />and the Committee recommended that he be given a retest in these two<lb />areas. On the restest the candidate failed the area of research and<lb /><lb />the Committee recommended that he be given another re-test on this area.<lb />This test was given October 26, 1967 and the Committee felt that the<lb />student had not done adequate work for the degree to be granted. The<lb />student was subsequently notified of this and told that he was entitled<lb />to one more restest, Upon receipt of the letter the student wrote a<lb />letter to Dr, Prewett petitioning the Department that his record be<lb />re~studied as he felt his overall average was sufficiently high for<lb /><lb />him to be granted the degree, After a lengthy discussion the motion<lb />was made and unanimously passed that the candidate be required to take<lb /><lb />a reetest in the area of researche<lb /><lb />Dre Rogers moved that the entire comprehensive requirements be re-studied<lb />and made a part of the requirements for a Master's Degree.
