Means was awarded $990 to support research to discover<lb /><lb />amphetimine drugs can restore memory when the brain's retention cells<lb />have been damaged or destroyed. The grant was from the North Carolina<lb />United Community Services.<lb /><lb />Miscellaneous:<lb />Dr. Clinton R. Prewett resigned as chairman of the Department, a post<lb />he had held for 16 years. | |<lb /><lb />The Psychology Department's graduate program in clinical psychology was<lb />recently recognized and described in a book "The Revolution in Professional<lb />Training: A Review of Innovative Programs for the Training of Professional<lb />Psychologists." This was published by the National Council on Graduate<lb />Education in Psychology.</p>
