Uniform grading practices in multiple section courses: In Psychology<lb />50 we have had a number of group discussion meetings with all the<lb />professors involved in order that some uniformity might be achieved<lb />in grading.<lb /><lb />B. Average Departmental teaching load--13 hours. Attention should be<lb />drawn to the fact that our student-teacher ratio is still very high.<lb />We realize that the College has tried to help us by granting additional<lb />faculty members. We were unable to employ persons for all the vacancies.<lb />We hope that our next report will show a decrease in student-teacher<lb />ratioe<lb /><lb />C. Comment on what is being done to attain or to maintain a strong consistent<lb />faculty demand for higher quality student performance.<lb /><lb />We are very well satisfied with the rigor of our graduate program. Many<lb />students are denied admission to the graduate program here. In fact, we<lb />maintain a cut-off point of 1000 on the Graduate Record Examination or a<lb />raw score of 57 on the Miller Analogies Test, Also, a thorough scrutiny<lb />of the student's undergraduate transcript is made by the Admissions<lb />Committee in the Psychology Department. Finally, the course work itself <lb />is quite demanding and weak students have practically no chance of getting<lb />throughe<lb /><lb />The undergraduate program is still a matter of concern. We have a<lb />bimodal distribution of about 200 very good students and about 150<lb />are weak students. I do not know how long this will obtain at this<lb />College. It is folly for a very weak student to try to go through<lb />the program since he must complete the demanding aspects of the general</p>
