While opportunities for<lb />eople with the bachelorTs degree have been<lb />very limited in the past, there are many more<lb />ositions open now, but in order to progress asa<lb />sychologist, the masterTs degree is neces-<lb />sary as a minimum level of training. It is not<lb />ossible to be more specific, since many indi-<lb />viduals take positions which do not classify them<lb />as psychologists.<lb /><lb />East Carolina University, part of the con-<lb />solidated University System of North Carolina,<lb />is the third largest university in North Carolina.<lb />ECU is a comprehensive institution with a main<lb />campus enrollment of over 13,000, of whom<lb />over 2,000 are graduate students. Undergradu-<lb />ate and graduate programs are offered in eleven<lb />schools, including a medical school.
