The hawk at last made a<lb />dagt down, and when he arose he<lb />went up very sicwly with some-<lb />thing in his claws, cud Mr. Ritey<lb />supposed it to be aw rabbit it had<lb />caught. It wasevilent that the<lb />weight of what it had was about<lb />as much as it could well manage,<lb /><lb />not at a great height, Mr. Riley<lb />and his sov shouted at it and<lb />made a great fusx, and the hawk<lb />dropped what it had, and young<lb />Riley went to see what it was,<lb />when lo and bshold he found it<lb />10 be achub,weighing about three<lb />pounds. They carried it howe<lb />and it made them a good supper.<lb />M:. Riley is known to be a truth-<lb />fal man. What will Dr. Blacknell<lb />the proprieton of the hotel say to<lb />this? In the bg freshet ot<lb />1888, in Augusta, Mrs. Lucy Gaines<lb />and her daughter were rescued trom<lb />their little home, on Upper Broad<lb />street, by Fireman Battle.
