The mayor will be<lb />elected for four years, at a salary<lb />of $15,000 per annum, instead of<lb />for two years at $10,000, as at<lb />present. With the exception of<lb />the comptroller, who will be elec-<lb />ted by popular yots, all municipal<lb />officers will be appointed by the<lb />mayor, Who May remove at will,<lb />during the first six months of his<lb />tenure. There wiil be only one<lb />police force, under a bi-partisan<lb />board of four, as at present.
