The forenoon<lb />of each day was devoted to the<lb />business sessions of the Associa-<lb />tion, the remainder uf the time<lb />being given over to sight seeing<lb />and attending entertainments and<lb />excursions given by the citizens<lb />of Galveston. The business of<lb />the Association no~ being of in-<lb />terest to our readers we make no<lb />reference to that except to state<lb />that Denver, Col., was selected<lb />as the next place of meeting.<lb /><lb />+The Beach, where most of the<lb />editors took quarters, is a charm:<lb />ing place. It is a magnificent<lb />building located immediately on<lb />the gulf, surrounded by broadT<lb />verandas and fronted by a beau-<lb />tiful park. This hotel is to Texas<lb />what the Atlantic at Morehead is<lb />to North Carolina, tho great sea<lb />side resort of the State.<lb />We mentioned in a former<lb />letter that the street. car strike<lb />hit the city about the same time<lb />the editors did. Well, the news-<lb />paper folks did not mind such a<lb />little obstacle-to transportation as<lb />this.
