Put two stores 55 or 60<lb />feet deep on the front with a 12 feet<lb />hall between them. Place the, theatre<lb />in rear of these on the ground floor,<lb />elevated about 4 feet. In the second<lb />story of the building have six or more<lb />nice offices, and on the third floor have<lb />two halls for Masonic, Odd Fellows: or<lb />other lodges. Build the theatre in<lb />three tie s"the first floor toT seat 350 to<lb />400 people, the balcony 200 to 229, the<lb />gallery 225 to 250, in all a seating ca-<lb />pacity of 800 to 900. |<lb /><lb />The RerLector would rejoice to see<lb />such @ building as the one suggested go<lb />up in Greenville, though one not al-<lb />together so large in size might be suf-<lb />ficient for theneeds of the town. Such<lb />a theatre building with the stores, of-<lb />tices and lodge halls, and even an<lb />armory might be added, would no doubt<lb />bring in handsome rentals.
