The weath-<lb />er was so bad that the REFLECTOR<lb />had no reporter present, and we<lb />have to depend on what can. be<lb />gathered outside as to what was<lb />done.<lb /><lb />The matters of most importance<lb />that occupied the attention of the<lb />Board was action on two peti-<lb />tions before them. One of these<lb />petitions was in behalf of the<lb />wheelmen of the town that they<lb />be allowed to nde bicycles on the<lb />sidewalks except between the<lb />Court Hoase and Five Points on<lb />Evans street- This petition had<lb />between 75 and 100 signatares,<lb />many of the leading citizens of<lb /><lb />ers, but 1¢ was ignored by the<lb />Board and tabled by a vote of 5<lb />to 1. |<lb /><lb />The other petition was against<lb />the granting of license to sell hig<lb /><lb />uor near the tobacco warehouses:<lb />This petition also had a large<lb />number of signatares, nearly 100<lb />names beiug to it.
