I remember<lb /><lb />one accident that could have<lb />been fatal, however, God _<lb /><lb />allowed it to work<lb />out in my favor. I<lb />was On my Way to<lb />work on Friday,<lb />December 3, 2003.<lb />At approximately<lb /><lb />. 7:53am a black<lb />truck pulled out in<lb /><lb />~ my lane. The speed<lb />limit was 55;<lb />however you know<lb />how we can do at<lb />times. I was<lb />driving<lb />approximately 55-<lb />60 miles per hour<lb />and ran into the<lb />truck. My car was totaled,<lb />airbags came out, the<lb />windshield shattered in a.<lb />million pieces and the front of<lb />my car was smashed. How |<lb />escaped the car accident with "<lb />minor injuries, only God can "<lb />explain. I received a few<lb />bruises, soreness and glass in<lb />my left hand. When the police<lb />arrived on the scene, the<lb />seventy-year old gentleman<lb />who had previously pulled<lb />out in front of me explained<lb />to the police officer that he<lb />saw me coming but failed to<lb /><lb />yield. Failure to yield in this<lb /><lb />- particular incident could have<lb /><lb />cost my life and the<lb />gentleman Ts life as well. How<lb /><lb />many times have we failed to<lb /><lb />yield, slow down and take "<lb />caution when warning signs<lb />are ahead of us? We see<lb />visible signs or hear a still<lb />calm voice speaking but<lb />ignore it. Just as the<lb />gentleman in my accident was<lb />probably thinking, I can make<lb />it before that car gets too<lb />close; we assume the same in<lb />our lives. We sometimes<lb />believe that we can perform<lb />an impulsive act and pull out<lb />before any danger occurs,<lb />How many people with that<lb />same concept are in the grave,<lb />in the hospital, living with<lb />HIV, AIDS, STDs, or<lb />unwanted pregnancies? Many<lb />times we believe that God is<lb /><lb />trying to prevent us from<lb /><lb />enjoying life but on the flip<lb />side, He is preserving our<lb />lives. God Ts<lb />ultimate desire is for us to -<lb />love Him intimately and<lb />passionately. If you truly love<lb />someone, you willnot<lb />purposely hurt him or her.<lb />God wants the same thing, He<lb />wants us to love Him. When<lb />you love, you can trust. When<lb />you trust, you will listen. For<lb />example, I know my mother<lb />loves me. Because I know<lb />that she loves me, my mother<lb />would never do anything to<lb />hurt me or place me in harm Ts<lb />way. Because she loves me<lb />and she would not hurt me, I<lb />have security in knowing that<lb />if she gives me advice, it Ts<lb />because she Ts concerned<lb />about me: Therefore,Ican<lb />trust her because she is<lb />looking out for my best<lb /><lb />concept to God. When He -<lb />speaks to.us?first of all, how<lb />does He speaks to us? God<lb />may speak to you through His<lb />Word, through prayer (a time<lb />of communicating with Him),<lb />through another person or<lb />through a song. Your spirit<lb />must be opened to receive<lb />from God in whatever way<lb />He chooses to speak. When<lb />He speaks, we must be so<lb />secure in our relationship<lb />with Him to know that if I<lb />don Tt feel ogood ? about this<lb />decision, this must be God Ts<lb />way of warning us. Many<lb />times, because we are human,<lb />we ignore all the right sign<lb /><lb />: aes ae 0<lb /><lb />through enough, oIs this God<lb />or is this Joy? ? dilemmas, I<lb />can give you the best advice,<lb />Weigh the options. Check out<lb />the pros and cons of your<lb />decision. Ask God for ©<lb />directions. If your decision is<lb />going to pull you away from<lb />God, the answer is no. If it is<lb />going to push you closer to<lb />God and assist in fulfilling<lb />your purpose and destiny, the<lb />answer is yes, Listen for the<lb />voice of God, know when to<lb />80, stop, or yield, It pays to<lb />be cautious.
