        <p>THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA<lb />AT<lb />CHAPEL HILL<lb /><lb />Institute of Outdoor Drama The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill<lb />(919) 962-1328 CB# 3240, NCNB Plaza<lb />Chapel Hill, N.C. 27599-3240<lb /><lb />July 31, 1990<lb /><lb />Mr. Marion Waggoner<lb />Producer/Artistic Director<lb />Box 73<lb /><lb />Chillicothe, OH 45601<lb /><lb />Dear Marion:<lb /><lb />This is to officially invite you to serve as moderator of a<lb />panel on the program of the Annual Managers, Directors and<lb />Promoters Conference of the Institute of Outdoor Drama. The<lb />Conference is scheduled for October 5, 6, and 7, 1990, and<lb />will be held in Cherokee, NC, home of UNTO THESE HILLS.<lb /><lb />The panel you will chair is tentatively entitled "Seasonal<lb />and Year-Round Employee Benefits," and it is scheduled for<lb />Sunday, October 7, from 9:00am until 10:30am. I have written<lb />to the following individuals asking if they will serve with<lb />you as members:<lb /><lb />Mr. Bernie Whallie, General Manager 1-800-662-5960<lb />WORTHY IS THE LAMB<lb /><lb />Box 1004<lb /><lb />Swansboro, NC 28584<lb /><lb />Mr. Bill Jeffers, Managing Director 918-496-0190<lb />DISCOVERYLAND~ S OKLAHOMA<lb /><lb />2502 E. 71st St.<lb /><lb />Tulsa, OK 74136<lb /><lb />Mr. Jerry Coffelt, General Manager 417-334-4191<lb />SHEPHERD OF THE HILLS<lb /><lb />HCR 1, Box 770<lb /><lb />Branson, MO 65616<lb /><lb />Ms. Myrna Moss, General Manager 918-456-6007<lb />THE TRAILS OF TEARS<lb /><lb />Box 515<lb /><lb />Tahlequah, OK 74465<lb /><lb /></p>
        <pb facs="00056199_0002" />
        <p>As soon as I get a response from those folks, I will let you<lb />know and you can take over the organization and planning of<lb />the panel at that point.<lb /><lb />As we discussed on the phone, there are a number of employee<lb />benefits which can be explored by this panel, but I think by<lb />far the most topical is that of health insurance. Others<lb />that you might consider include retirement, life insurance,<lb />vacation, sick leave, housing and longevity. I will leave<lb />all that in your very capable hands.<lb /><lb />The health insurance thing is such a big problem for many of<lb />the companies, I would like to suggest that whomever deals<lb />with that issue come prepared to offer solid suggestions<lb />which will be helpful to the company reps. Everyone knows<lb />there is a problem. The trick is: What~s the solution... or<lb />combination of solutions? Thats what we need to hear.<lb /><lb />Marion, because we°ve only recently determined the site for<lb />the Conference, we°re now on the fast track to nail down all<lb />elements of the meeting. That being the case, I am<lb />considering your commitment to me over the telephone this<lb />morning to be firm and am counting on you. We go to press<lb />with the program very soon now.<lb /><lb />Many thanks, my friend, for taking this important panel for<lb />me. I know you will do your usual excellent job with it. If<lb />you have questions, please give me a call.<lb /><lb />sincprel),<lb /><lb />/<lb /><lb />|<lb /><lb />Scott J. Parker<lb />Director<lb /><lb /></p>
