<p>DIVISION OF THEATRE<lb /><lb />To: Members of the I.0.D. Conference Panel "Ethics and<lb />Professional Theatre Practice"<lb /><lb />From: Dale Miller, Panel Leader<lb />Date: September 10, 1990<lb /><lb />Greetings! I know some of you already and look forward to getting to<lb />know all of you next month. Scott has done a terrific job of<lb />recuiting this panel and, together, I know we can "come through" for<lb />him.<lb /><lb />In preparation for the panel, I would like to suggest a number of<lb />things. First of all, I hope you all have had a chance to see the<lb />PBS program which served as a model for this panel. If not, you<lb />might be able to catch a re-run or a tape of it. Secondly, look over<lb />the somewhat tongue-in-cheek discussion topics that Scott developed.<lb />Scott?Ts topics should stimulate lots of good ideas. Lastly, I need<lb />you to submit to me 2 or 3 topics which you feel would (1) be of<lb />general interest to the I.0.D.membership (2) help establish a higher<lb />set of ethics for the professional theatre and (3) be subjects upon<lb />which you could offer examples, statistics and/or solutions. BE<lb />WARNED ! I may not ask you your own questions.<lb /><lb />As soon as I receive your response I?T1l be able to judge whether or<lb />not we have sufficent breath in our topic areas.<lb /><lb />Start thinking! Keep thinking! I?T11 be calling you later this month<lb />to "touch base".<lb /><lb />I look forward to seeing you on Sat. Oct. 6 at 3:15 in the Holiday<lb />Inn in Cherokee, N.C.<lb /><lb />Cordi Vly,<lb /><lb />@ale Miller<lb />Loeb Playhouse<lb />Purdue University<lb />West Lafayette, IN. 47907<lb /><lb />DIVISION OF THEATRE ® DEPARTMENT OF CREATIVE ARTS<lb />STEWART CENTER ® WEST LAFAYETTE, IN 47907 ® (317) 494-3074<lb /><lb /></p>
