Its a great idea and we can easily target the<lb />area papers you mention. In the past, we have sent a story<lb />to all the major NC daily papers, as well as major East Coast<lb />papers. The UNC News Bureau will send the story, along with<lb />photo, to whatever papers we specify, at no cost to us.<lb /><lb />I thought you might look over the enclosed information and<lb />let us know what, if any of it, you: would like us to include<lb />in a news release. If you have any other copy which we could<lb />incorporate into the story, feel free to send it.<lb /><lb />If you can provide photos to accompany the releases, that<lb />would be great. Were probably talking about 40 photos, at<lb />most. The photo of the Eagle Dancer that we?ore using on the<lb />cover of the conference brochure (copy enclosed) would be<lb />excellent.<lb /><lb />Sincerely,<lb /><lb />Scott J. I am sure that<lb />the papers in our surrounding area will use a release, and<lb /><lb />it may be that some of the larger state papers would pick it<lb />up. If you want to prepare one, I can provide some photos<lb /><lb />to go out with it. I am attaching a list of the papers in our<lb />area that I feel sure would use it or at least part of it.<lb /><lb />I think if you have some statistics on money generated by out<lb /><lb />door dramas, attendance figures, payroll statistics, etc. that<lb /><lb />the papers would use it. You might aim it toward summer employment<lb />for college students/teachers, etc. I am selfish in this, in that<lb />I think some publicity about your meeting at Cherokee might bring<lb />some attention to us!<lb /><lb />Let me know if I can help on this in any way.<lb /><lb />Sincerely,<lb /><lb />med<lb /><lb /></p>
