Driving timefrom the Asheville airport to Cherokee is approximately one hour, 15 minutes. HERTZ (704-684-6455) is offering special reduced weekend rates to Outdoor Drama Conference delegates. Ratesrange from $23 for a compact to $26 for a full-size, 4-door, with unlimited mileage. Other rentalcar companies serving the Asheville airport include Avis, Budget, National and Enterprise.Upon arrival at the Holiday Inn in Cherokee, please stop by the Conference desk to pick up yourregistration folder. This will contain the full program schedule, announcements, specialinformation, meal tickets, tour tickets and a nametag. The Conference desk will be open forcheck-in Friday, October 5, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, October 6, from 8:30 a.m. tonoon. The first Conference session will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5.Company reps are encouraged to bring a large supply of souvenir programs, brochures, and otherpromotional materials for distribution at the Conference.Both the Saturday morning tour of the Mountainside Theatre and the optional Sunday tour ofarea attractions will take place rain or shine. Bus transportation will be provided, but don�?Tt forgetto bring along a raincoat, umbrella, comfortable shoes and a sweater.
