Sumner<lb /><lb />Institute of Outdoor Drama UNC<lb />CB# 3240 Graham Memorial Bldg.<lb />Chapel Hill, NC 27514<lb /><lb />Dear Mark:<lb /><lb />Let me call to your attention a seminar that will be most<lb />helpful to your members as well as your staff. What's more,<lb />the session can--if you desire--be an income provider.<lb /><lb />For the past ten years, I have been conducting a media seminar<lb />for corporate executives and public relations specialists.<lb /><lb />The session is essential to anyone who will ever deal with<lb /><lb />the media.<lb /><lb />During the seminar I stress how to deal effectively with<lb /><lb />the media, how to be interviewed (what to say and what not<lb /><lb />to say), how to build credibility with the media, and how<lb /><lb />to handle a crisis. During my 35-year career as a journalist<lb />and someone who deals with the media on a daily basis, I<lb /><lb />have compiled an extensive list of media likes and dislikes<lb />as well as some rules that absolutely cannot be broken.<lb /><lb />In addition, if desired by those in attendance, two other<lb />Subjects can be throughiy Giscussea:<lb /><lb />1. How to get publicity for your association/client/project.<lb />2. How to conduct a successful writers' tour.<lb /><lb />Each session always develops into a "how would you have<lb />handled the situation" which sparks good audience participation.<lb />I guarantee a successful program.<lb /><lb />A full session, incorporating all of the above, lasts 3<lb />to 3 1/2 hours. . .a morning or afternoon.<lb /><lb />My fee is $1000 plus any travel expenses. You may absorb<lb />this as a service to members or charge each participant.<lb />At approximately $100 per person, anything over my fee and<lb />any promotional costs will, of course, be income.<lb /><lb />One Woodlawn Green / Suite 118 / Charlotte, North Carolina 28217 / (704)525-9505<lb /><lb /></p>
