His performance as Acting Vice Chancellor has been splendid. Dr. Bloodworth and I agreed at the beginning of his term that he would not be a candidate for Vice Chancellor. [In fact, that understanding was a condition of the position announcement. While I respect Dr. Bloodworth’s considerable talents greatly, I believe that it is important that the search process that has been undertaken be respected as well. Thus, I thank the Faculty Senate for its expression of support for Dr. Bloodworth and wish to inform the Senate of my intention to continue with the search process presently underway. d #88-23 These well-deserved resolutions are accepted. rough #88-27, #88-29, #88-30, #88-32, and 88-33 are approved. for your excellent work during the 1987-88 I look forward to working with you and your colleagues in 1988-89.
