List of Committee accomplishments including recommen-
dations made to agencies other than the Faculty Senate.

Committee reviewed the Division of Continuing Education's
Annual Report and Goals for 1987-88. It received reports
on programs and activities.

Committee developed and sent to the Vice Chancellor for
Academic Affairs a proposal for central coordination

of all non-credit programs and special activities. The
proposal will become a part of the university's strategic
planning process.

Library support for off-campus courses continues to
receive a high priority. All students who enroll for
SEED 6480, Educational Research, are required to visit
the Joyner Library for a full day. The Joyner Library
staff provides an excellent program for the participants.

State funding for continuing education programs continues
to receive a high priority.

Committee requested and received a position for one of
its members (Lawler) to serve on the Search Committee for
the new director.

Citation of resolution numbers of senate resolutions
that originated with the committee.

None

Proposals and/or business to be carried over to next year.

Committee should follow status of state funding for
continuing education.

Committee should ensure that the proposal for central
coordination of non-credit programs is included in the
strategic planning process.

Committee should continue to encourage the work of the
Committee to Study Extended Campus Library Services.

 
Committee needs to explore issue of availability/accessi-
bility of facilities on and off-campus in which to hold
both credit and non-credit offerings.
