Dear Chancellor Eakin:

At the March 17, 1987, meeting of the Faculty Senate of East Carolina
University, the following resolutions were approved for your consideration:

#87-8 Graduation List

#87-9 Curriculum Committee Report

The Chair reported on editorial clarifications approved by the Faculty
Governance Committee regarding the Clarification and Amplification of the term
"voting faculty" found in the footnote of Appendix L in the Faculty Manual.

No objections to this clarification were voiced in the Senate. Do you have
any concerns about the proposed editorial clarifications?

Please find attached a copy of both the Agenda and Minutes of the March 17,
1987, Faculty Senate Meeting for your convenience in referring to these
resolutions.

Dear Dr. Wilson:

I am pleased to report my concurrence with Resolutions #87-4,
#87-5, #87-6, #87-7, #87-8, and #87-9 as contained in your report
of action taken by the Faculty Senate at the February 24, 1987 and
March 17, 1987 meetings. Further, I have no concerns with the
editorial clarifications approved by the Faculty Governance Committee
regarding the clarification and amplification of the term "voting
faculty" found in the footnote of Appendix L in the Faculty Manual.
