The Admissions Committee requested review (Davis, VCAA office) of Departmental and School 2.5 GPA regulremwents aed subsequent counseling processes. The Committee reviewed university entrance requirements and policy impact on future enrollment at ECU. The Committee: -heard 392 student appeals. -facilitated Counseling Center services information to be disseminated to readmitted probationary students. -changed the appeals process to reduce "direct to Chancellor appeals." -expressed concern with financial aid delays impacting on Admissions -recommended use of TOEFL writing test for non-native, English-speaking applicants. -approved changes in entrance criteria (GPA minimums) for School of Education, School of Technology, Department of Mathematics. -reviewed NCAA requirements as related to ECU Admissions policies.
