Dear Chancellor Howell:

At its seventh regular meeting on March 18, 1986, the Faculty Senate of East
Carolina University, approved the following resolutions for your
consideration:

86-8 Curriculum Committee Report of minutes of February 27, 1986
including Approval of Sections 1 & 2 (See March 18 Agenda)

86-9 Approval of Section 3 (a) of Curriculum Committee Report of
February 27, 1986 (See Agenda of March 18)

86-10 Delay of Section 3 (b) of Curriculum Committee Report of February
27, 1986, to provide for open hearings so that those involved have
a chance to make comments to the appropriate authorities (See
Agenda of March 18)

Approval of Section 3 (c) of Curriculum Committee Report of
February 27, 1986 as editorially changed to read "that broadcasting
courses not be used to satisfy general education requirements" (See
Agenda of March 18)

86-12 Amendment to Curriculum Committee Report of February 27, 1986,
Sections 3 (a), (b), and (c) to become effective the day after
graduation in the Summer of 1988.
