Elections:
Ad Hoe Committees of Chancellor Search Committee:
1. Development of Search Procedures

The Committee should review alternative procedures for
faculty participation in identifying possible candidates
for Chancellor and recommend procedures to the Faculty
Senate at or before its February meeting. Any recommen-
dations approved by the Senate will be forwarded to the
Chancellor Search Committee for its consideration.

The Committee will be composed of seven elected members,
and the Chancellor and Chair of the Faculty ex-officio.
A quorum will be four elected members.

Development of Campus Interview Procedure

The Committee should review the on-campus interview
procedures used during the 1978 and 1982 searches.

The Committee should evaluate the procedures in terms
of the faculty's ability to accurately judge the
candidate, and in terms of the candidates ability to
learn about ECU. The Committee should report to the
Senate at its March meeting. Any recommendations
approved by the Senate will be forwarded to the
