Reports to Faculty Senate: None Specific instructions, if any, given to the Committee by the Faculty Senate other than those found in the Committees organizational charge: None Committee organization, subcommittees, research activities, etc.: Subcommittees organized as needed Committee accomplishments and recommendations: 1. Responsibility for continuing the process of the Career Profiles Booklet through publication and distribution was assumed by Dr. Tom Johnson, former chair of the Faculty Senate. The Career Planning and Placement Office was asked to request co- ordinators from the departments not responding to last year's request. The functions of the Career Education Committee were rewritten to reflect the actual committee functions more accurately. This has been submitted to the Committee on Committees. The 1979 ECU Policy Statement regarding career education is in the initial stages of being rewritten with assistance from the Career Planning and Placement Center. With the assistance of Dr. E. Meyer the Committee reviewed the Planning Commission Task Force Report on Career Development and Placement and the status of the ECU efforts to respond to various recommendations. Business to be carried over to next year: Final revisions of, the ECU Policy Statement need to be finished during the next year. Evaluation of the Committee: A. Structure: Satisfactory B.
