Dear Dr. Zallen:

I have carefully reviewed the Faculty Senate approved
revision of the School of Home Economics code and approve
it with the following modifications:

- Section III A second paragraph, omit the words
"the chancellor through"

Section III 1, d (Under the Dean shall), omit
the words "Chancellor as well as to"

Section III 4 e, omit the entire second sentence
starting with "Each faculty". Fixed term faculty
also receive annual evaluations for merit as

directed in appendix C.

Section V second paragraph, second sentence,
Between the words "to" and "actions" insert the
word "personnel". Only personnel action recom-
mendations are required to be sent beyond the
School level with concurrence or noncurrence

statements by the Dean.

Section V A 3 b1, omit this entire section. The
grievance procedure is outlined in Section VIII,
appendix D of the Faculty Manual.
