Met with the University Curriculum Committee regarding Proposed
te Education Requirements for the Baccalaureate Degree, September
23, 1982,

Requested suggestions for approved general education courses from all
deans and chairpersons, September 13, 1982, and November 11, 1982.
Recommended approval of General Education credit for ASAS 2003 to the
University Curriculum Committee, November 2, 1982.

Evaluation of the committee:

A. Structure: The committee recommends that the Committee on Committees
consider selecting membership for the General College Committee from
a broader distribution of disciplines.

B. Duties: satisfactory

C. Functions: excellent

D. Personnel: superior

The charge to this committee concerning the General Education
requirements does not appear to be well understood by the faculty in
general nor to be well integrated with the functions of other
committees.
