Committee Activities: The Committee undertook an investigation of the policies of institutions throughout the greater university on non-tenure track appointment and on the policies of professional organizations, such as the AAUP and AFT toward such appointments. List of Committee Accomplishments: Enclosed report of ad hoc Committee on Faculty Grievance Procedures. Presented resolution which was passed by the Faculty Senate April 19, 1983, as Resolution 83-24 concerning disposition of grievance files. Presented Resolution to Faculty Senate which was recommitted as Resolution 82-68 concerning transferring Continuing Education Faculty to Units. Citation of the Resolution Numbers of Senate Resolutions originating with the Committee: 82-67 (amendment) 82-68, Resolution concerning Continuing Education Committee recommitted. 83-24, Resolution concerning disposition of grievance files. Business Carried Over to Next Year: The consideration of Resolution 82-72 ("Be it resolved that the Paanlty Senate inatrniet the Pacuity Affairs Committee to study the possibility of removing the restriction on non-tenure track positions which limits their length of appoinment to six years.") has been carried over until next year. Evaluation of the Committee: The Committee has functioned smoothly over the past year.
