A brief statement of Committee organization, subcommittees, research
activities:

The Committee used ad hoc subcommittees to prepare the original draft
of the proposed calendars and also used inter-departmental memoranda
to survey members' preference on specific issues, but otherwise
functioned as a whole.

List of Committee accomplishments:
The Committee prepared and submitted to the Faculty Senate calendars

for Summer School, 1985; Fall Semester, 1985; and Spring Semester,
1986.

 
VIII. Citation of the resolution numbers of Senate resolutions that
originated with the Committee:

82-85: Graduation date set or Saturday, May 4, 1985.

83-27: Amendment to 1985-1986 Academic Calendar: Time for elacocs to
end November 27, 1985, changed from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

83-28: Amendment to 1985-1986 Academic Calendar: Beginning dates of
fall semester, 1985, changed to Wednesday, August 21, with the next
three dates adjusted accordingly and with Monday, August 26, 1983,
scheduled for classes to begin.

83-29: Approval of 1985-1986 Academic Calendar, as amended.
