The sub-committee consisted of the Director of Admissions, the Committee Chairman, the Vice Chairman and the representative from Continuing Education. The main function of the committee is to serve as an appeals board for students who have not met admission and/or retention requirements. In addition the committee has spent considerable time discussing committee functions and regulations. Annual Report of the Admissions Committee Page 2 April’ 1983 S VII. Committee accomplishments including recommendations to agencies other than the Faculty Senate The Admissions Committee has acted on appeals from 255 persons during the 1982-83 year. Citation of Resolution Numbers of Senate Resolutions: None Proposals and/or Business to be Carried Over to Next Year: None Evaluation of Committee: Structure, Duties, Functions: All satisfactory. It should be noted that this is a committee that is required to meet at times when the University is not in session and this makes it difficult for the student member to participate. The excellent attendance at these meetings is a tribute to the dedication of the committee members.
