Professor Thomas Johnson has served the faculty of East
Carolina University for three years as chair of the faculty;

he has rendered such services with energy, dedication,
and commitment 5

the Faculty Senate of East Carolina University commends

him for his efforts in behalf of progress of East Carolina
University in general and the faculty of East Carolina
University in particular; and that the Chancellor and Chairman
of the Board of Trustees be notified of the sense of the
Senate in its appreciation for Professor Johnson's services.
